2015 Wednesday EST ‘Tetris’ Movie News, Release Date, Spoilers: Live-Action Epic Sci-Fi Film To Grac

Lo and behold, a "Tetris" movie is in the works! News about the upcoming film, plotlines and release date is revealed by producer Larry Kasanoff and fans are clamoring for more information.

And we thought they were just blocks falling from the sky! "Tetris", the tile-matching video game puzzle released in 1984 was created by Alexey Pajitnov in Moscow. Available in almost all gaming consoles including various computer operating systems and even other devices like mobile phones, PDAs, and graphic calculators.

Early this month, the classic "Tetris" movie news, release date erupted online, inciting discussions about the possible plotline of this seemingly background-less puzzle game.

"Tetris" movie news (release date) show that the collaboration of Threshold Entertainment with Tetris Company plans to birth the film adaptation, now with storyline creation on the way.

Threshold Entertainment is an intellectual property company, responsible for movies and television specials in the likes of "Rise of Rookies" in Nickelodeon, "Bionicle: The Legend Reborn" in 2009, "Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Powers" in 2010, as well as "Lego: Atlantis" on Cartoon Network.

The Tetris Company on the other hand is known for its ownership and creation of the Tetris game, headed by Tetris creator Pajitnov.

According to Larry Kasanoff, Threshold Entertainment chief executive, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the creation of "Tetris" movie news is indeed on the way. He even obliges to a few hints about the possible storyline of the adaptation, although other information such as release date, cast and production have not been officially revealed.

In the interview, Kasanoff mentions, "It's a very big, epic sci-fi movie. This isn't a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We're not giving feet to the geometric shapes."

Talking about why making a "Tetris" movie (news) seem to capture audiences attention, he goes on to explain, "Brands are the new stars of Hollywood. We have a story behind Tetris which makes it a much more imaginative thing."
